Cyrus said she quit drinking in 2020 and stopped smoking marijuana in 2017. She credited therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with helping her manage stress, work through anxiety, and overcome stage fright. She reflected that she had been ‘so used to living at a high’ and now, through a ‘sober lens,’ has greater compassion and understanding for herself.
